Hand-Carved Agra Soapstone Tealight Holder — Elephants

    $35

Hand-carved Agra soapstone tealight holder, pierced with a parade of elephants. Carved from a single piece of soapstone in Agra — the city of the Taj Mahal — by a family of artisans working in the Mughal stone-carving tradition. The openwork is jali lattice, cut by hammer and chisel, so every opening is made individually and no two spheres throw the same light. Set a tealight inside and the elephants glow to life across your table and up the walls. Approx. 7 cm high × 6 cm wide; fits a standard tealight candle.

Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
